3.25.08 "Edwin Ushiro interview on Hi-Fructose Magazine
Almost a month ago, Co-Editor, Annie Owens interviewed me for Hi-Fructose Magazine. In the write up, we
discuss my near death infant situation, working methods, and the stories behind the paintings. I was totally
blown away when I opened the issue (currently on newstands) and saw that 6 pages were dedicated to me.

3.15.08 "Year of the Rat at Giant Robot (GR2)"
Really strange how chance works it's magic. I've been a fan of Giant Robot ever since Art Center times. Like
back in 1998. Then,
Eric Nakamura invites me to participate in this huge group show featuring Gary
Baseman, Buff Monster, Susie Ghahremani, and Rob Bellm (my bro). Now I feel like everything has gone full
circle. The show opens on March 15 from 6:30pm to 10pm. I'll be at the show too. I hope to see you there.
3.1.08 "WK Tokyo Lab x Edwin Ushiro"
In mid 2008, Wieden + Kennedy will present its 10th Hybrid CD/DVD release. To celebrate their 5th year, WK

can view the progress of art that will be included in this book. Check out the blog

1.11.08 "A Juxtapoz Feature and Shows"
Wow, big props to Katie at Juxtapoz for doing this little write-up about me on Juxtapoz.com. January is
looking bright indeed. There are a few hush projects in development and some 2008 shows I'd love to share.
First one is "Nature of Water" which is a Bruce Lee tribute show at
Gallery Nucleus. Then last week was the
opening for "Neulovers" at Portland's
Compound Gallery. This piece above is for a show on Jan. 27 at The
Kenneth Chapman Gallery at Iona College in NY. Mahalo to all of you out there. Hoping your New Year is
filled with brightness.
12.8.07 "Grafuck 3 Show at Gallery Nucleus"
The Grafuck 3 show presents artwork from over 60 artists who are included in the Grafuck 3 book. In
addition to the piece that was in the book, I finished
a new piece specifically for this show. I would also
like to thank everyone, especially you for coming out for the artist signing. Sorry that it got pretty busy &
my pen didn't flow well & so I wasn't able to chit-chat much. I'm pretty shy in public anyhow. I'll try better
next time. Promise. Catch the entire show online
here.
12.1.07 "Wishful Thinking at Project: Gallery and Happy Endings at The Lab 101 Gallery"
Hi all! The holiday season is here and what better than to give the gift of art. I am participating in 2 group
shows both opening on Saturday, December 1. Both shows will be held in Culver City (across the street from
each another).
The Lab 101 Gallery will host it's final show entitled, "Happy Endings," then right across the
street
Project: Gallery presents "Wishful Thinking" in collaboration between Juxtapoz Magazine and the
Make-A-Wish Foundation.

8.11.07 "LA Myth at Meltdown"
New shows! I'm participating in a few group shows this month. Untitled Love Project at Thinkspace Gallery,
LA Myth at Meltdown Gallery, and The Ninja Show 2 at Gallery Nucleus. Also, Maxalot has transformed 2
pieces of my art into wallpaper for
this one and this one. Much more to come. Thank you for visiting!
6.26.07 "BlueFlip Art Enters my Life"
This complimentary print was so unexpected but that's the kind of guy Matt Regan is over at BlueFlip Art, a
Seattle based printing studio. What is most dear to my heart is that 10% of each sale will go towards the
Mini Lai Scholarship Fund. Mini, was a good friend and meant the world to me. She passed away from
complications of a transplanted heart. This scholarship is awarded to an Illustration major attending the Art
Center College of Design. The first recipient of the $1,500 scholarship is
Jesse Dickenson. Congrats bro!!!
6.12.07 "Edwin Ushiro Solo Exhibition at Gallery Nucleus"
A big thanks goes to all the kind folks for making it out to my show. I appreciate each and every one of you
that attended opening night. Surprisingly, most of the art has already sold. But there are a few more gems
available to pick up before the show closes on June 23.
Gallery Nucleus hours are Mon - Thurs 12pm to 9pm
& Fri - Sun 11am to 10pm. If you are interested in viewing this show online
